Losing Hope

Photoshop Project:

For this project I am trying to show the effects of drugs on people by using Photoshop to convey my concept. My concept for this project deals with the negative effects of drugs on a person and how these effects intensify as a person enters the world of drugs deeper and deeper. I also want to express how powerful drugs are at luring people into using them. Furthermore, through this project I want to inform people of the negative effects of illicit drugs and make people think twice before using them.

Photoshop Project Revision:

For the revision of this project I changed a couple of things. First I darkened the end of the tunnel to reinforce my core message. Second I removed the drug dealer from the image completely because he was not relevant to the concept of this work. By removing him, the path is more open to the audience in a way that the viewer has a choice of entering this world or walk away from it. Lastly, I darkened the table because the previous one was too light for the conditions of this tunnel.

Illustrator Project:

For this Illustrator project, as my concept, I  illustrated the evolution of automobiles from the first cars, to present day cars, and to hint at future models. Nowadays people depend on their cars for transportation to work, school, and many other places, but also as machinery that helps them get their jobs done. I focused more on the physical transformation of the automobile. I showed what most people perceived as beautiful back when the first cars came out, and how do most people see a beautiful car today. Future cars combine the aspect of being physically attractive to customers as well as using less gas or none at all. Future car concepts are also known for their ability to fly. I illustrated this through the Audi Calamaro Concept.

Illustrator Project Revision:

For the revision of this work, I ran a black and white trace on all the cars instead of color trace. This helps bring out the form of the car itself showing an evolution of type over time. I also eliminated the fades on top and bottom of the image because they only distracted the eye. Another thing that I modified is the timeline itself. I simply underlined the cars dates and names and connected it to the dot. This ties the timeline more strongly to the morphological analysis.

Lost In The Bottle

Video Project:

For this project, I twisted the concept of my photoshop project and focused on the effects of alcohol on people. In contrast to the photoshop project, “Lost in the Bottle” is more about positive effects of alcohol and how it opens a person up into being more social. I used iMovie, Adobe AfterEffects, and Audacity to put together this video.
